What is CLO?
CLO is a student-run organization that exists to provide affordable housing to students from the University of Florida and Santa Fe College. Residents live life alongside one another and work together to maintain the values of the organization. As a co-op, the facilities are maintained completely by students who live at CLO. Residents work around two hours a week to contribute back to the organization.
How long has CLO existed?
CLO has been a part of the Gainesville community since 1931! It was founded by 4 UF students who sought to live inexpensively by sharing living, cooking, and maintenance expenses. At its founding, it only cost $14/month to live at CLO!
Who lives at CLO?
All of CLO’s residents are students. With a mixture of graduates and undergraduates, residents have a wide variety of majors and minors. Students who come from different states and countries all have a place at CLO! All age groups are welcome.
What is necessary for me to live at CLO?
All residents of CLO must be an active student at the University of Florida or Santa Fe College. The ability to meet rental payments is required, along with a willingness to give back to the community of CLO through the required duties.
